Whenever she is really concentrating on her art work, she always holds her mouth like in the photos above. This layout contains photos of my girls from last year, when we were living in Ireland. It was the first time that we have experienced a real -fall- for autumn. (as here in Brisbane, we have a warm winter, and most of our trees do not lose their leaves!)

While I was scrapping this one, I kind of had this made up song in my head - which I journalled:

So, sometimes you just see some layouts from CT teams with a particular kit, and then you must ABSOLUTELY HAVE THAT KIT - RIGHT NOW!!!!
It is not very often that I will rush off and buy a kit on the day it is released, - but ~~ Joshi ~~ by MK Designs at Shabby Pickle was one of these occasions. I really love the fabulous rich colours, and the really cute elements. I must say, that I have not regretted this purchase.

Kasia Designs from Shabby Pickle is having a CT call... Now this would be an absolute dream position. Of course, I have applied! Well who wouldn't!. Her kits are soooooo beautiful, and the layouts that are done with them are just amazing.

On the weekend, I managed to capture my daughter whilst jumping on the trampoline - she was trying to do the splits mid-air. I don't know how I managed to get this shot, but it was definately one that I didn't expect would turn out.

DST May colour challenge

Here is my entry for the DST May Colour Challenge.
The journalling prompt that I used was ~~~ Everyone smiles in the same language ~~~ I was immediately inspired to use this prompt. Last year our family had the privelage of living in Ireland for 3 months. We bought ourselves a round the world ticket and travelled around the world in 100 days with 2 small children. My girls loved the experience, and we found that a smile trully is universal.

Layout updates

Here are my two goose girls and puppy dog - just hanging around in the sun after a swim. Here in Brisbane (Australia) it is autumn and finally, the weather is starting to get cold. This photo was taken last weekend, which I think will end up being the last weekend that we will swim before next summer (well at least until about end of September!)
For this layout, I decided to challenge myself and make the layout with only bits and pieces from my own photo collection, along with all of the wonderful PS3 brushes, shapes, styles, etc. I am not so sure about this vibrant and saturated grunge phase that I am stuck in at the moment!!! I think I will need to try a more subdued style next time!!!

These are some photos of my oldest daughter from when she was about 2 years old. On the day that I took these photos, we had not had rain for such a long time. She took great pleasure in putting on her rain boots and rain coat. Once outside, she became quite cheeky as she sang and danced her way around the back garden. Butterfly Walk

My beautiful youngest daughter walking in the park. Recently we have seen lots of butterflies out and about, so this layout has been inspired from her enthusiasm each time she sees a butterfly.

Goose-Girl

"I love my crazy goose girl" I really love it when my daughter is acting like a crazy goose! Her whole face lights up and the giggles then become infectious! This layout was posted on the 12th of January.

Hot Chocolate

My beautiful oldest daughter - posted on 9th January using the beautiful "Hot Chocolate" collaboration kit by Miss Vivi, Ninie and Sylvie at http://www.digiscrapbooking.ch/. The middle photo is one of my all time favourite photos of her.

Impulse

The next layout was posted in DST on 5th January. While taking photos of my oldest daughter, Granny's cat decided to get into the picture! I could not resist this one (and only) shot of the two together.

Hello! Welcome to my blog which is dedicated to my digital scrapbooking obsession. I am a keen photographer and a self-taught photoshop enthusiast.

In 2008, I stumbled across digital scrapbooking sites and have become obsessed with scrapping my two beautiful daughters.

I am so grateful to all of the wonderful designers - especially those who offer freebie kits. Many are so talented, and I admire their skills. They have enabled me to make some fabulous layouts to day. Also a big thank you to all of those digi-artists who publish their layouts in the galleries - you offer me so much joy - not to mention inspiration for my own layouts.

My goal for 2009 is to be able to complete at least 30 layouts. Later this year, I would like to have a go at creating my own freebie kits - to give back in return a little of what I have received.
